DSI/Dynamatic’s Gary Patterson is once again partnering with Hydraulic Institute (HI), the global authority on pumps and pumping systems, to help present their newest webinar about Eddy Current drives, on May 22, 2019. As the premier go-to expert of the benefits of Eddy Current technology, Gary Patterson recently, worked to update HI’s published Application Guideline for Variable Speed Pumping, authoring the appendix devoted to the specific technology of Eddy Current Drives (also known as magnetic drives, eddy current clutches or magnetic clutches).

The approximately 45 minutes with 15 minutes allowed for Q&A webinar, will expand on eddy current drives for variable speed pumping applications, highlighting the history of the technology, theory of operation, and basic application considerations. Also included will be motor application recommendations for use with eddy current drives, by Patrick Hogg, Product Manager, Nidec Motor Corporation.
