TASC Eddy Current Drives and Controls
TASC TR, CD, 1D models feature high starting torque, wide speed range at constant torque, no routine maintenance, accurate closed loop speed control, torque or tension control and compact electronic control systems. A range of TASC units are also available for centrifugal fans and pumps and Eddy Current braking applications.
The TASC CD model, manufactured by Laurence Scott in the UK since 1980 was originally distributed in North America by Canadian Drives and CDL International. It was right around 1990 that Torspec International® began manufacturing the 132 TCD and 180 TCD and eventually the 100 TCD, 160 TCD and 225 TCD, based on altered copies of the original TASC models
TASC replacement parts are typically interchangeable with Torspec replacement parts and are manufactured to the original Laurence Scott prints and specifications. Don’t settle for an imitation when you can have peace of mind knowing you have the original engineered parts and complete drives in both NEMA & IEC frames.

HEENAN Eddy Current Drives and Controls
HEENAN Eddy Current drives have a wide speed range at full load rated torque with a high overload capacity (up to the pull-out torque of the AC motor) available for starting or to deal with transient overloads.
Accurate control of speed/torque is available using feedback signals from either the built in AC tacho generator, an externally driven DC tacho generator of shaft encoder.
Fully engineered control schemes are available for any drive application and because of the low control power involved, these are virtually free from the generation of harmonic interference.
HEENAN VH and 912/914 types feature high starting torque, wide speed range at constant torque, no routine maintenance, accurate closed loop speed control, torque or tension control and compact electronic control systems.
HEENAN water-cooled Eddy Current drives and couplings are heavy-duty, four bearing machines with high starting and running torques. With all the benefits of their air-cooled cousins, the use of a liquid coolant system enables a greater power output of up to 5000kW.
