All Makes of Eddy-Current Drives
Drive Source International’s experienced mechanical repair personnel provide you with a remanufactured drive using the original engineering documentation for the drive as well as any revisions yielding product improvements. Qualified technicians will inspect all critical dimensions for rear or damage.
Our After-Market Mechanical Repair Group will have a remanufactured quotation in your hands within five (5) business days after we receive your drive.
Our normal remanufacturing process includes the following:
- Steam clean and disassemble the drive
- Inspect all critical parts to original specifications such as bearing journals and bores, pilots, air gaps, coils (normally recommended coil replacement) seal fits and surface finish.
- Check concentricity and squareness of bearing caps and sleeves.
- Check generator fields and rotors
- Replace all bearings.
- Replace all gaskets and seals.
- Assemble the drive.
- Test the remanufactured drive, checking for vibrations, etc.
- Paint the assembled drive.
The work is performed by fully qualified technicians under the supervision of a full design and manufacturing engineering staff. The remanufactured drive is furnished to you with a full one-year warranty for parts and labor in accordance with our standard warranty.
Turnaround time on a remanufactured drive may be as short as five (5) business days.
Control / Printed Circuit Board Repair
Drive Source International’s electronic repair personnel are experienced in diagnosing and repairing Controls and Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). We will restore them to original design specifications and reliability. Current production units generally are refurbished within five (5) business days, at a price equal to or less but not exceeding 50% of the price of a new control or PCB.
Our normal repair process includes:
- Computerized test equipment will verify input/output responses to original specifications.
- Automated Test Equipment (ATE) will identify components no longer within design tolerance for replacement during repair.
- All components used in the repair will meet engineering design specifications.
- Any component previously upgraded by engineering will be replaced during the repair.
- Circuit modifications and additions will be installed to bring the board up to the latest revision level.
- Boards identified as “superseded, do not repair” will be replaced with new or remanufactured current design board.
- When a board cannot be repaired economically or reliably, we will scrap it and replace it with a new or remanufactured board. (Obsolete boards for which we no longer stock parts cannot be replaced and are excluded).
- In an emergency breakdown situation, we will expedite repair to achieve the fastest possible turnaround time.
The repaired PCB is furnished to you with a full one-year warranty for parts and labor in accordance with our standard warranty.
